Canberra's own zoo and aquarium at Yarralumla offers a genuinely intimate wildlife experience with behind-the-scenes keeper experiences and meet-the-animal encounters. See snow leopards, white lions, African painted dogs, giraffes, hippos and over 100 species of fish. The sleepovers-at-the-zoo program is popular for older kids. Smaller and more personal than Melbourne Zoo, which means more interaction and less walking.
