Mundaring Weir is a historically significant and visually stunning reservoir in the Perth Hills, completed in 1902 to supply water to the Kalgoorlie goldfields. Families can enjoy scenic walks along the dam wall, explore the No. 1 Pump Station Museum (listed on the National Heritage Register), and access excellent cycling and mountain bike trails in the surrounding John Forrest National Park. Picnic facilities and a café are available. Free to visit and an easy 45-minute drive from Perth.
