Brisbane Powerhouse is a contemporary arts centre on the river at New Farm, set in a striking converted power station. Its school-holiday programs offer creative performing-arts workshops for children in drama, dance, circus skills and creative writing, led by working artists. Families can pair a workshop with the riverside parklands and cafes right outside. Sessions are grouped by age and tend to book out during the breaks.
