Hobart's beloved Saturday morning institution, Salamanca Market has been running since 1972 and is one of Australia's best outdoor markets. Over 300 stallholders line the gorgeous sandstone precinct selling local produce, artisan food, handmade crafts, art, clothing and more. Street performers, musicians and buskers entertain throughout the morning. Kids love the food stalls — try Tasmanian scallop pies, berry ice cream and woodfired bread. Free entry, runs 8am–3pm every Saturday.
