📍 Nambung National Park, Cervantes WA 6511
The Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park, near Cervantes (3 hours north of Perth), is one of Western Australia's most iconic natural landmarks. Thousands of limestone pillars — some as tall as 3.5 metres — rise from the yellow sand in a haunting, otherworldly landscape best seen at sunrise or sunset. A visitor centre explains the geological formation over millions of years. Families can walk or drive the circuit. Best combined with a stop at Lancelin Sand Dunes for a full day trip.
