Dedicated entirely to Australian native plants, the Australian Botanic Gardens on Black Mountain is free and covers 90 hectares of cultivated gardens and natural bushland. The Rock Garden, Rainforest Gully (a boardwalk through temperate rainforest plants) and the Children's Discovery Space are highlights for families. Free guided walks run daily. The gardens are also great for birdwatching — over 100 species recorded. Café on site with great views.
