📍 Ainslie Ave, Campbell ACT 2612
Mount Ainslie rises directly behind the Australian War Memorial and offers the best panoramic views over Canberra — the whole Walter Burley Griffin parliamentary triangle design becomes visible from the summit. The summit walk is 4.4km return and suitable for kids over 7. The reserve is home to kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and many native birds. Sunrise and sunset are particularly spectacular. Free, no facilities needed — just shoes and water.
