📍 Coles Bay TAS 7215
Tasmania's east coast is home to some of Australia's most spectacular beaches — pristine white sand, turquoise water and minimal crowds. Wineglass Bay (accessed via Freycinet NP) is world-famous, while Friendly Beaches, Binalong Bay and Picnic Rocks offer more accessible swim spots. All are free. The Bay of Fires in the north features stunning orange lichen-covered boulders. East coast beaches are calmer and warmer than the west coast, making them ideal for families.
Coal Valley Family Cycling
Flat vineyard cycling through scenic Coal Valley wine country — great for families with young riders.

Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens
Free riverside botanical gardens with subantarctic plant house, Japanese garden and children's discovery zone.

Hobart Waterfront & Constitution Dock
Hobart's historic harbour precinct — fish and chips, fishing boats and waterfront walks at the city's heart.
